Description

Fixed Vertical Ladder with Grab RailsCAI Safety’s combined kit of the Fixed Vertical Ladder with Grab Rails & Ladder Cable Fall Arrest System are a one-stop shop for your OSHA and ANSI compliant ladder fall arrest requirements. These systems meet all OSHA and ANSI requirements and regulations.

The Fixed Vertical Ladders are constructed of high tensile strength aluminum, which make them lightweight, sturdy, and non-corrosive. The welded, serrated rungs and their splice-joined ladder bodies create a product with maximum safety that will last for years to come.

The Ladder Fall Arrest System provides continuous, hands-free fall protection when accessing heights, and is required per OSHA on ladders greater than 24ft. This system is ideal for climbing long indoor and outdoor ladders that reach up to a side or an upper level platform, mezzanine, or rooftop. Any compliant, front D-ring harness is usable with the Ladder Fall Arrest System.

STEP 1 – LENGTH OF LADDER

 Fixed Vertical Ladder with Grab Rails - Ladder Length To determine the Length of your ladder, measure the (A) dimension shown in the picture on the left. Measure from FINISHED FLOOR LEVEL to TOP OF WALKING/WORKING SURFACE.

For example, if your ladder length (A) is 18′, you can choose the size larger than this measurement, 20′ (240″). Ladder can be adjusted in the field for proper height.

Ladder Models that ‘DO NOT INCLUDE‘ a Ladder Cable Fall Arrest System. These ladders do not require fall protection:

  • 4′-5″ (53″)
  • 8′-4″ (100″)

Please note:

  • The (B) measurement shall not be less than 7 inches, according to OSHA regulations.
  • A platform is required at the top of the ladder if the (B) measurement exceeds 12 inches. Contact us.

If your response was “Non-Compliant” to any of the items below, your existing ladder may not be compliant or suitable to support a fall arrest system. In which case you may require to purchase an OSHA Compliant ladder from CAISS or another source.
