Cable Trolley/Traveler Device

The Ladder Cable Trolley or Traveler Device connects the worker to the Ladder Cable Fall Arrest System, automatically follows the user during the climb and locks onto the cable in the event of a fall, allowing the user to regain their footing. The vertical fall arrest system allows free shuttle movement during access/egress.

Description

The Ladder Cable Trolley or Traveler Device connects the worker to the Ladder Cable Fall Arrest System, automatically follows the user during the climb and locks onto the cable in the event of a fall, allowing the user to regain their footing. The vertical fall arrest system allows free shuttle movement during access/egress.

The Ladder Fall Arrest System provides continuous, hands-free fall protection when accessing heights, and is required per OSHA on ladders greater than 24ft. This system is ideal for climbing long indoor and outdoor ladders that reach up to a side or an upper level platform, mezzanine, or rooftop. Any compliant, front D-ring harness is usable with the Ladder Fall Arrest System.

These systems meet all OSHA and ANSI requirements and regulations.

NOTE: This accessory must be used with the Ladder Cable Fall Arrest System product only.

  • Ladder Fall Arrest System Components Include:
    • (1) Bracket Kit – Top & Bottom brackets, (1) Stainless Steel Cable 5/16″, Cable Tensioner for ladder base, (1) Forked End Terminal – Crimp Swage, Cable Guides, System Signage, (1) Traveler Device with Shock Absorber/Cable Trolley.
  • Material:
    • Fall Arrest Traveler Device: Stainless Steel (316)
    • Energy Absorber Lanyard: 100% Polyester Webbing
    • Vertical Line Cable: Stainless Steel (316)
    • Cable Terminator and Tensioner: Stainless Steel (316)
  • Working Load Limit:
    • Single Person Use – 1350 lbs. (6kN) rated (in conjunction with energy absorber and lanyard device). Ladder integrity, attachment method to support structure and structure integrity to be assessed and determined by a competent person prior to installation.
  • Fall Arrest Traveler Device: 4in x 3-1/8in to suit 5/16in stainless cable.
  • Energy Absorber: 5in (static length).
  • Vertical Line Cable: 5/16in stainless cable (7×7).
  • Product Warranty: 3 years from date of purchase subject to correct installation, use and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.
  • Compliance: Meets OSHA standard 1910.23, 1910.28, CAL-OSHA 3277 and ANSI A14.3 requirements.
