Crossover Stairs Safety Bridge

The Crossover Stair Bridge allows for safe access over pipes, expansion joints and equipment or up to elevated areas. The system uses modular, bolt-together components to construct double-sided crossover stairs. Metal stairs, platforms, heavy-duty handrails, and support towers can be combined in any number of ways to fill your unique needs. This heavy-duty bolt-together design can be quickly assembled on-site and requires no fabrication or onsite welding.

Description

The Crossover Stair Bridge allows for safe access over pipes, expansion joints and equipment or up to elevated areas. The system uses modular, bolt-together components to construct double-sided crossover stairs. Metal stairs, platforms, heavy-duty handrails, and support towers can be combined in any number of ways to fill your unique needs.

This heavy-duty bolt-together design can be quickly assembled on-site and requires no fabrication or onsite welding. The components can be brought up through a hatch, so no hoisting is required. The 36” wide stairs can range from a single step up to seven steps before a connection is required to a work platform. Up to three 36” X 36” work platforms can be attached together without the need for a support tower creating a 9’ long span over large or wide obstacles. The continuous handrails meet all OSHA requirements and provides increased safety.

The system ships flat saving freight costs and are assembled with simple hand tools. Limited customization and custom sizing available.

Aluminum Crossover Stair Bridge - Components
  • Handrail / Kneerail
    Handrail posts constructed using 1.25” schedule 40 hot-dipped galvanized pipe with round profiled handrails and kneerails attached to posts. Set screw and bolt attachments.
  • Platform
    The platform is 36” wide, 36” long, 6” high, with the surface constructed of open grating with high traction surface and solid tread nosing. Six bolts tread to platform, 8 bolts platform to platform.
  • Staircase (2 sides)
    Heavy duty treads with high traction for safety while ascending and descending to and from the platform.
  • Support Brackets
    Stair components connected using profiled brackets secured with Simple Bolts. Simple bolts and set screws to construct OSHA compliant handrail.
