Description

The Portable Counterweight Horizontal Lifeline System is equipped with a rigid rail track, counterweight anchors, and trolleys. The system can be positioned close to the application using a forklift. Ideal for hopper and grain car, aircraft, and truck applications. NOW IN COLOR GREEN.

The counterweighted system is designed as a portable solution to provide an overhead anchor point for multiple users while working at heights. These systems are designed to be counterbalanced by concrete or other means, allowing for close positioning to the work surface without obstructing the equipment being accessed. This system is ANSI and OSHA compliant.

NOTE: Counterweights are not provided with this system. Guidelines to use counterweights have been provided in the product manual (available in ‘Downloads’ tab of this product page).

NOTE: Full-body Harnesses are not included with this system. Please purchase harnesses separately by visiting the ‘Accessories’ tab on this product page.

Counterweight & Freestanding Single Anchor To complete an On-site Assembly & Fall Protection Training session, the following is to help all parties understand the responsibilities for a successful project implementation. Please take a moment to carefully review:

  1. CAI Safety Systems (CAISS) will help facilitate your order with the manufacturer who will design, manufacture, and ship product on the sales order, and as per the signed approval drawings specifications for the system(s).
  2. CAISS will provide one certified technician to assist with assembly/set-up of the Flexiguard System that has been ordered.
  3. CAISS will provide product training. This will include safe product use, product maintenance, and inspection of equipment.
  4. CAISS will provide basic tools required for assembly purposes during the initial visit for assembly/set-up. In addition, Partial Tools may be shipped as required by CAISS with the products to use to assist in assembly of systems.
  5. The manufacturer will provide all technical user’s manuals. All manuals will be in the English language.
  6. CAISS will coordinate and communicate ship dates to dealer, as well as assembly/set-up dates that are available.

Scheduling:

  • Our technician will be on-site for no more than 2 days.
  • Our technician can be onsite for a maximum of 8 hours.
  • The service is required to be scheduled on a weekday from 7am to 3pm.
  • Service scheduling required a 3-week advance appointment.
  • The 'CAISS Onsite Assembly & Training – CAI-8500001' is inclusive of travel costs within the Continental USA.

End User Responsibilities:

  1. Permanent installed bases such as floor mounts/flush mounts that require fixing to existing structure will be the responsibility of the end user to review the area of installation, consult with a Qualified person, confirm the structure is capable of supporting the loads of the system, source proper fasteners based on analysis, and install the bases prior to our technicians arrival.
  2. End User to establish site clearance for our technicians and all assembly personnel.
  3. End User to provide sufficient and safe work area site for completing the assembly/set-up.
  4. End User to provide any required work permits to complete the assembly/set-up if required.
  5. End User to provide helper for operations with overhead crane and assembly of unit.
  6. End user is responsible to arrange local transportation of all products from the shipping destination to end user’s install location, unless otherwise arranged by CAISS.
  7. End user is responsible to dispose of crating materials and/or packing materials as part of shipment unless otherwise specified.
  8.  At the end of assembly/set-up, end user is responsible in arranging all personnel involved for system training session.
  9. End user to arrange for delivery of required ground support to complete assembly/set-up:
    • Forklift truck capable of lifting to a height of 22’ and or an overhead crane if available.
    • Scissor lift/JLG Man lift
