Most hopper, bulk and tanker railcar loading applications are outdoors in areas of heavy forklift and people traffic. We have been able to address these challenges and comply with OSHA using custom-designed freestanding Outdoor Railcar Fall Arrest Systems.
CAI Safety Systems can provide a freestanding anchor fall arrest system that is easy to use and tailored to your application. All our railcar fall protection systems are OSHA and ANSI compliant. Applications: Railcar / Tanker / Hopper / Grain / more…
Fall Protection Challenge
Users, who work on top of tanker, hopper grain, and gondola railcars, are often outdoors with no overhead structure. External factors like wind and rain further compound the fall hazard faced by these workers. With no overhead structure to anchor a fall protection system and a busy loading or work area an experienced partner in fall protection is a must.
Fall Protection Solution
CAI Safety Systems offers custom freestanding anchor to support a Fall Arrest System that will provide the extent of railcar coverage you need with minimal interference to your other loading or work operations. Our freestanding anchors and cable or rigid horizontal lifelines meet OSHA and ANSI fall protection requirements.
Features & Benefits
Horizontal Lifeline System Above Your Railcar
Once on top of the Railcar the user is able to walk uninterrupted the length of the horizontal lifeline or crouch down with no restriction on movement. Pass-through features on cable systems means you only tie-off once and then walk the full span of the horizontal lifeline.
Cantilever System For Dual Tracks
Often the need to service railcars on two parallel tracks creates a dilemma if there is no space to place the anchor between tracks. CAI has developed a solution by placing this anchor on the outside of one track AND then cantilevering over both tracks thereby providing a means for suspending an anchor point or horizontal lifeline over each railcar track.
