Portable Access Platform
The Portable Access Platform is designed to provide safe access and fall protection on the top of tanker trucks, bulk trucks, and railcars. The unit provides portable access with a safety enclosure designed for applications that do not allow the ability to use permanent truck loading platforms or when space is limited.

System Description

The unit provides portable access with a safety enclosure designed for applications that do not allow the ability to use permanent truck loading platforms or when space is limited.

MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION
Rugged construction includes:
- Welded steel frame with aluminum safety cages
- (2) 8โณ swivel casters with brakes

SELF-SUPPORTING DESIGN
- Counterweighted design allows access without being supported by the vehicle.

FORKLIFT POCKETS
- Forklift pockets are used to transport the platform with the help of a forklift. These pockets fit onto the system when relocating the platform.

RAILCAR

- The stationary base is to have 8โ swivel casters with brakes on the rear and 8″ stationary caster wheels on the front.
- The unit is to be equipped with two (2) telescoping leveling jacks for added stability and adjustment.
- The upper platform is to have neoprene bumpers on the outboard end and complete with handrails.
- The lifting feature will be with a manual cable winch, this is adjustable from grade.
- The entire unit to be finish painted with a grey enamel finish or hot dip galvanized.
- The standard wheels are a 8โ cast iron wheel with a solid rubber outer tread. Two wheels are strait and two are swivel with wheel locks on them. To move the platform, the two swivel wheels help direct or turn the platform.
