Mini Dual Mezzanine Safety Gate

The Mini Dual Mezzanine Safety Gate System is a two-gate pallet and material transfer gate for protecting workers at height. When the mezzanine side is closed, the load side gate is open ready to accept a pallet. Once the pallet is in position, closing the load side automatically opens the mezzanine side so the load can be moved to where it needs to go.

The mini gate has an open-top which is useful if your process involves hoisting materials into or out of the gate and it accommodates pallets of any height. When the inner gate closes the outer gate opens allowing access for the forklift. Once pallet has been placed in the loading zone, the inner gate can be opened, automatically closing outer gate to allow safe access to pallet.

The Mini Dual Safety Gate allows you to receive single pallets or multiple pallets as your needs dictate. Some of the features include:

• Prevents falls from elevated access loading points while transferring material loads.
• Counteracting gates & rail sections create a safe zone for loading/unloading areas.
• When inside gate is opened by worker, outside gate automatically closes.
• Meets OSHA Requirements 1910.29(b) and 1926.502(b)(2)(iii):Intermediate members (such as balusters), when used between posts, shall be not more than 19 inches (48 cm) apart.

DUAL GATE SYSTEM FOR THE UTMOST IN SAFETY
Single-sided gates on a mezzanine; like a sliding gate, often are operated unsafely. When the gate is moved, often the worker is within 6’ of the fall edge and not tied off. A double-sided gate ensures there is always a barrier between the fall edge and the worker, and no harness or OSHA tie-off point is required.

EASE OF USE
The Mini Gate has a generous landing area for common pallet sizes and the open top accommodates tall pallets and hoisting. It takes little effort to raise and lower the gate and is designed without gas struts, a common point of gate failure.

CONSTANT PROTECTION
Operator opens gate safely back from the edge. As the inner gate is raised, the outer gate closes, always insuring fall protection. Gas-assist struts make lifting and closing the gate almost effortless.

FORKLIFT USE
Any personnel on deck are held back 5′ from the mezzanine edge. Standard gate easily accommodates a 48″ pallet with room to spare. Railing height is 42″ tall.
