CAI Safety’s Swing Arm Fall Protection System was designed to provide OSHA fall protection that does not interfere with the operation of the overhead crane. The arms simply fold away from the work area when not required to allow the overhead crane full access. When needed the safety system is folded in to position to provide an overhead fall arrest system that allows personnel to work safely and efficiently.

For many hangar applications, the fall protection challenge is having to work on multiple aircrafts that may be positioned in different orientations. Under these circumstances, a fixed overhead fall arrest system is limited and a mobile system may be impractical due to the multiple setups.
We have engineered an OSHA fall protection system that will support your fuselage and wingspan safety and productivity by giving you the ability to position your fall arrest system where you need it inside your hangar or shop floor.

EASE OF OPERATION
Operation of the system is simple: The user ties off to the Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) and the bridge for the fall arrest system is positioned over your work area. Your fall protection system does not define or restrict your work area.
ERGONOMIC
By using low friction hinges with aluminum rigid rail track, we make the operation of the foldaway swing arm fall protection system smooth and user friendly.
FALL ARREST CAPABILITY
A self-retracting horizontal lifeline connects users to the fall arrest systems. When users fall, this system retracts the lifeline, with the help of a trolley to make for effective fall arrest.
FALL PROTECTION HANGAR
This System allows you to cover a large area with pinpoint accuracy by simply moving the bridge over the area requiring fall protection.
RETRIEVAL SYSTEM
Crane operation requires safety measures to prevent accidents. Our fall protection system can be handled at ground level so users have easy access to it.
HORIZONTAL LIFELINE
Movement on top of the structure being worked on is restricted by the length of the lifeline. Otherwise, users can move along freely and productivity is not hindered.
AUTOMATED OR MANUAL OPTIONS
The ability to swing the system in use position or to foldaway when not in use can now be achieved with manual and electric operated options. The manual system is a two person requirement while the automated system only requires one person to operate. Either option is intended allow the user to move the fall protection system at a pace that will support the productivity of your application.
Swing-Arm:Â Allows the system to be extended when fall protection is required and retracted when access is required for overhead crane.
Horizontal Lifeline:Â This is an aluminum rigid track that runs the desired length to allow the user to have access to the work area.
Connecting Means:Â A Trolley that is designed to glide over the rigid or cable horizontal lifeline system. This feature keeps the fall arrest system directly above the user to reduce the chances of a swing fall.
Fall Arrest Device:Â The Self-retracting Lifeline is utilized to reduce the arresting forces of the fall on the user and minimize the fall distance.
Full Body Harness:Â Only a full body harness can be used in a fall arrest system such as the freestanding fall protection system. The harness reduces the forces of the fall on the body and also keeps the user in an upright position when properly worn.

SINGLE & DUAL TRACKS

Between supports, Single tracks can be laid out for up to 20 feet; Between supports, Dual tracks can be laid out for up to 40 feet.
