The Aluminum Non-penetrating Guardrail System a freestanding guardrail held in place by Counterweight Bases (approx. 50 lbs. each) placed on the horizontal beam of the guardrail. The system requires the installation of two counterweights on every stanchion of the system, which is required by CAL-OSHA, OSHA and ANSI standards for a passive fall protection system. Provides safety and an attractive architectural design for your roof leading edges.
Another feature of this type of guardrail is that it can be folded down when it isn’t used. This results in a system that’s not visible from a lower level, so the aesthetics of a building aren’t compromised.
FOR WHAT PURPOSES ARE GUARDRAILS SUITABLE?

Our Aluminum Non-penetrating Guardrails are designed to prevent damage to your roof structure. The guardrail system is freestanding and installation can be accomplished without making any surface penetrations.
The Aluminum Non-penetrating Guardrails can be installed on various types of roofs, working platforms and technical terraces with slopes between 0° and 10°. Suitable for almost all floor types call us for any questions regarding compatibility with your fall prevention application.
Our guardrails are made of aluminum with stainless hardware which fully protects them against the elements and the risk of corrosion. It also gives them an extremely long lifespan.
Unlike conventional guardrail systems which come in pre-cut lengths the aluminum non-penetrating guardrail system allow you to cut the aluminum tubes onsite to get a field fitted product.
All of the guardrail posts are joined together as one system by the top and mid rail tubing providing the peace of mind that comes with permanent, reliable and stable fall protection.
EASE OF INSTALL
Installing our aluminum non-penetrating guardrail systems could not be easier. It takes little effort and hardly any time. The main components simply click into place and the rest can be installed using standard tools. The freestanding design also means there is no need to fix rails to the roof.

Parameters of Use
The Aluminum Guardrail Toeboard is necessary when there is no parapet on the roof. The toeboard can be installed by clicking it onto the Toeboard Bracket and tightening it with a screw.
45° Corner [PAIR]
The Aluminum 45° Corner Joint is used to construct a 45 degree bend in an Aluminum Guardrail system. Two pieces are required for each corner and are provided in pairs, each for the top-rail and mid-rail respectively.
Please note that rail joints are required to connect the 45° corners to the top and mid rails. Two rail joints connect one corner, so four rail joints will be required to connect a pair to your system. Rail joints are not included with this product accessory and can be purchased separately.
90° Corner [PAIR]
The Aluminum 90° Corner Joint is used to construct a 90 degree bend in an Aluminum Guardrail system. Two pieces are required for each corner and are provided in pairs, each for the top-rail and mid-rail respectively.
Please note that rail joints are required to connect the 90° corners to the top and mid rails. Two rail joints connect one corner, so four rail joints will be required to connect a pair to your system. Rail joints are not included with this product accessory and can be purchased separately.
Corner Adjustable [PAIR]
The Aluminum Adjustable Corner Joint is used to construct an adjustable angle bending connection between two tubes in an Aluminum Guardrail system. Two pieces are required for each corner and are provided in pairs, each for the top-rail and mid-rail respectively.
Counterweight Bases [PAIR]
The Counterweight/Weighted Bases are used as the counterweight to the Aluminum Guardrail outriggers. Each outrigger requires two counterweight bases including the free ends. The two counterweights are then fixed to the end of the outriggers.
Finishing End Bracket
The Aluminum Finishing End Bracket is used to close open end rails on the guardrail system. The end bracket has two bends of 90°, and is connected to the top-rail and mid-rail with Rail Joints. We have included a pair of Rail Joints with this accessory, so that the end bracket can be attached to the existing rails at the end of the guardrail system.

The Aluminum Tube or Rail of the guardrail system is the connecting element that connects all uprights together to create a fall protection barrier. Aluminum clamps are used to link each tube together and is used as a hand or knee rail. The aluminum tube is available in 9.8 ft. and 19.6 ft. lengths and can be cut to size as desired.
Rail Joint [PAIR]
The Aluminum Rail Joint or Tube Joint is used to make a connection between aluminum rails/tubes, a 45° corner joint, a 90° corner joint, and a termination end bracket.
The Aluminum Safety Gate is used as access door to a roof, caged ladder or hatch. The safety gate can be fitted on all three types of guardrail systems. The gate can be placed between two uprights as part of an guardrail system.
Stanchion/Outrigger (Foldable) + 2 Bases
The Aluminum Non-penetrating Guardrail System is a freestanding guardrail held in place by Counterweight Bases (approx. 50 lbs. each) placed on the horizontal beam of the guardrail. This product consists of (1) Stanchion & Outrigger (Foldable) and (2) Counterweight Bases.
Toeboard – (7.8 ft. or 2.4 m)
The Aluminum Toeboard is used to add a toeboard on the guardrail system. The toeboard is necessary when there is no parapet on the roof. The Toeboard can be installed with the help of the Toeboard Brackets/Connectors and tightening it with a screw on the beam.
Toeboard Bracket/Connector [PAIR]
The Aluminum Toeboard Bracket/Connector is used to add a toeboard on either side of an Upright of the Guardrail system. The Toeboard connector is always used in pair and can be installed by screwing it onto the beam of the upright with the help of connectors and bolts.
