Site Survey & Assessment
OVERVIEW:
The first step is to perform Site Survey and Assessment, which will form the basis for a comprehensive Fall Protection Plan.
DURING THIS PHASE WE PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:
- On-site visit (if needed). Note all existing conditions, interview your on-site personnel, and document potential fall hazard(s).
- A written report will be provided, detailing the challenges of your application. All options of the Fall Protection Hierarchy including Elimination, Fall Prevention, Fall Restraint, and Fall Arrest will be evaluated for your application. CAI will breakdown the benefits and drawbacks of each option.
- Provide budgetary pricing for design, fabrication, installation, and training for all proposed options.
- Be available to address your questions and comments, and if necessary make revisions to present you with a Fall Protection Plan that is not just safe but also efficient.26
Design and Engineering
OVERVIEW:
The CAI engineering team is fully trained in fall protection systems. Besides being able to appraise the loads on your building structure and the system hardware; we design a safety system to keep the impact on the human body to a minimum when arresting a fall.
OUR APPROACH:
Our design approach is simple. Rather than focusing on changing the way you work, we follow the path of reverse engineering. We allow your application to define the safety solution. We do not take away the ability of your employees to work competently or safely.
Custom Manufacturing
OVERVIEW:
All products are built to meet the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) requirements. No product leaves our ASME certified facility before quality control inspects every weld and re-checks all dimensions. Only the finest craftsmen work on your fall protection system with the responsibility that nothing less than a human life may be saved.
Site Installation
OVERVIEW:
Nowhere is coordination and planning more important than during the installation phase of a fall protection project. Since this work usually occurs in your production area, any delay affects your production schedule. Being aware of the challenge, we make special efforts to assemble the major parts of your systems in our facility. Next, we coordinate installation time with you to minimize disturbance to your operation.
Safety Training
OVERVIEW:
Training is an indispensable part of our turn-key approach, since no fall protection system, regardless of how effective it is, can save an employee who is not trained in its proper usage. That is why our hands-on training sessions, with fall-and-rescue simulations, are conducted at your site to emphasize your unique requirements.
CAI safety training provides a pro-active, hands-on approach that empowers the worker to recognize and deal effectively with all fall hazards in the workplace. We train to change attitudes and behavior, which will eventually reflect safe work habits in all areas of the workplace.

Annual Inspection & Repair
OVERVIEW:
No fall protection system gets commissioned before a complete checkout, which includes everything from examining cable tension to inspecting torque in all anchor bolts. Inspection is more than just checking individual components; it also means confirming that the system as a whole operates safely and correctly. After the system passes the inspection process, we install a sign stating the system is safe for use and also outlining procedures and limitations for future users.
OSHA and ANSI requires an annual inspection of your system. We will help you schedule inspection without downtime to your operation. In addition, when you call to order a harness, self-retracting lifeline, or other component, our responsibility is to make sure that whichever product we give you is compatible with your existing safety system. We are able to do so because we maintain a permanent file on your system of everything from the initial drawings to the last piece of hardware you ordered.
CAI conforms to ANSI Z359.1 requirements for an annual inspection. Our inspection includes everything from examining cable tension to inspecting torque in all anchor bolts. Inspection is more than just checking individual components; it also means confirming that the system as a whole operates safely and correctly. After the system passes the inspection process, we install a sign stating the system is safe for use and providing you with a written report.
